Higher Ed is Pushing STEM Diversity, but is it Fast Enoguh?

The Meyerhoff Scholars Program helps to bridge gaps in STEM education. This helps to allow underrepresented students in STEM to go further in education and also their careers. Meyerhoff is one of the many programs that have been in affect to help increase diversity.
Yet, there is still under-representation with black and Hispanic students compared to the Asian and White students. This gaps seem to come from a lack of access to quality education. This begins in K-12 school where data has been shown that minority students have fewer opportunities to work with STEM resources. This can have a long lasting effect to students when they enter higher education STEM programs.
